Yeh
Hai Bakrapur, social satire flick that very well depicted the
backdrop of rural India, is directed by Janaki Vishwanathan and
produced by Ramesh S Arunachalam. The multi-layered film stars
Anshuman Jha, Asif Basra, Suruchi Aulakh, Faiz Khan, Yoshika Verma,
Shameem Khan, Amit Sial and Utkarsh Majumdar.
Yeh
Hai Bakrapur was screened at the 37th Göteborg International
Film Festival and was also the part of The Film Bazaar and premiered
at the Mumbai Academy of the Moving Image, 2013 Festival as well.
Music is composed by Agnee in the hilarious and comedy genre movie.
Let's read the movie review and story.
The
plot of the movie dwells the relationship between eight year old
Zulfi Qureshi and his pet goat Shahrukh, living in a rural area of
India. As, Quereshi's family is well known in that area, so the pet
goat becomes the pivot of attention for all.
According
to the movie review, irreverent fable on blind faith, poverty and
religious hypocrisy that seems satirical sustenance in the authentic
rural Muslim milieu unable to overwhelm the audience, as much
polishing was required in the presentation. Neither crux nor climax
of Yeh Hai Bakrapur is impressive and quite predictable.
The
performance of star cast is also average and they could have done
better. But, Bollywood flick has humour that promises a smile and
smirk after seeing rural India where every second citizen is a
certifiable attention-seeker. The narration part has many leak
points, as per the movie reviews.
Hilarious
characters very well woven the story that exhibits the face of
today's real greedy man and mock at social issues prevailing in the
society. All in all, Yeh
Hai Bakrapur movie is one time watch flick that goes average.
