Ankhon Dekhi Movie Review
Ankhon
Dekhi, written and directed by stage actor and film director Rajat
Kapoor and produced by Manish Mundra. The satirical movie features
Sanjay Mishra and Rajat Kapoor in lead roles. Let's begin the warm
hearted and thought provoking movie's story and review.
The complete story of Ankhon Dekhi revolves around Raje Bauji (Sanjay Mishra) who in his late fifties, living out a dull, but eventful life in a small house in old Delhi. He lives with his extended family, but a random incident brought a tremendous change his life in a dramatic way.
Bauji’s daughter fell in love with a boy of ill repute. When the fact unveiled before the family, they locked up the girl and go ahead to beat the willful boy. It is a funny old journey of this man who decides that he will only believe what he sees with his own eyes, else nothing.
Ankhon Dekhi is a lovely film, at times very funny have superb content, but do not earn huge bucks of good reviews that might because of the lack of star power. The music composed by Sagar Desai is nice and fit the film very well. Also, there are a lot of scenes that appears to be a bit clumsy and confusing as well.
Performance-wise, the work of cast and crew in Ankhon Dekhi is wonderful. There is a perfect balance between being meaningful as well as entertaining and not falling into the "masala" category. It loses some of its pace after the interval, but hilarious scenes keep the audience to glued to their seats, as per the reviews.
Maybe that's the reason, movie gained mixed reviews, while unable to create a buzz at the block buster. The script was well written, but triggering of the hidden idea until the last frame in the flick is not appeared. The dialogues were sharp and hit their mark, perhaps those negative points won't enable the film to get most out of it.
