1 by Two, a psychological-thriller film directed by debutant director Arun Kumar and produced by Amit Kapoor. The Malayalam movie features Fahadh Faasil and Honey Rose in the lead roles, whereas Shruthi Ramakrishnan, Murali Gopi, Ashwin Mathew, Abhinaya and Azhakar Perumal are seen as supporting characters. The plot of the movie turns around the personal and professional life of Yousaf Marrakkar (Fahad Fazil), a C.I of Bangalore Police department who leads a very good family life with his wife Raziya (Abhinaya). A major twist comes in the story when a tragedy occurs in a private hospital in Bangalore where Yousaf have been appointed as the chief investigation officer and there unknowingly gets entangled in an conspiracy. Then, Yousaf revelead out the event and wrapped off the case, and the story continues.

In 1 By Two, director Shyamaprasad proved his debut by playing the role of a psychiatrist Dr. Cheriyan who is obsessed, mad and passionate for his love. For the first time, thriller movie marks Fahadh Fazil in the role of a cop, which become the highlight of the movie. Gopi Sundar scores music for the movie with lyrics penned by Hari Narayanan that gained positive comments. Movie is able to get above than average reviews because of the impressive dialogues and full justice of the complete cast with their respective roles.

The plot written by Jeyamohan is as appealing as the drama and action in the movie. The performance of star cast and suspense that remained until the last frame is very much liked by the audience. The movie has suspense, which is the charm of every thriller movie that made the audience to remain glued to their seats. The suspense in the movie overshadowed the leak points upto some level and able to hook the interest of audience well, as per the reviews. The climax of the movie is the main crux of complete plot and applauded by all.
