'Gutthi' Sunil Grover to play a parallel lead with Akshay Kumar

Sunil Grover aka Gutthi is finally stepping out of Kapil Sharma's shadow as he tries to build his professional career post exit from “Comedy Nights with Kapil”.

According to the latest reports, Sunil has landed a significant role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's “Gabbar”. The movie has Akshay Kumar and Shruti Hassan in main roles. The talks between Bhansali and Sunil have entered final stage with monetary details only left to be agreed upon.

According to our sources, Sunil hasn't been signed as Gutthi, he will have to play a complete new role. “It will be interesting to see him play a character like this, post his long stint as Gutthi," the source revealed.

Sunil is also in talks with a TV channel to host his own comedy show. According to the early reports, the show will be similar to “Comedy Nights with Kapil” in concept. Sunil is also planning to create a new character similar to Gutthi.
