Sunny Leone who is leaving no stone unturned in promotion of her upcoming horror movie “Ragini MMS 2”, is ready to give a special treat to the Mumbai rickshaw wallahs.

Sunny will be present amongst them in Andheri to flag off the rickshaws that will carry movie's special promotional message. The message which will be placed behind every rickshaw reads, "'Ragini ka naya MMS dekha kya?', Ragini yahaan baithi thi, Do mein zyaada mazaa hai.”

The message has been placed on 7000 rickshaws in Mumbai and Delhi with an aim to further increase the buzz around the movie. The producers are confident such unique promotional methods will help “Ragini MMS 2” even more success then its predecessor.

"We had done this during Ragini MMS back in 2011 and the feedback had been overwhelming. Scores of others aped us subsequently. Shivajinagara is an action packed thriller which is a treat for Duniya Vijay's fans if not anything else. The movie has breathtaking action sequences and the director has done a superb job in presenting them. Duniya Vijay plays every bit of a hero that he is known to be and amazes with his performance. The actress sadly does not have much to do in the movie but still manages to pull off the role of a Kannada Brahmin girl. 

The item song in the movie seems unnecessary and has been used just to add the glamor quotient. And although, it is an action thriller, the action seems to go overboard and takes away the plot of the movie.

While screenplay is the weak link of the movie, its music and Vijay's action almost saves it. Overall, it is a movie that Duniya Vijay fans must not miss and other action movie lovers too can watch it once.

Story Outline
Sid (Farhan Akhtar) is a fun loving single guy who is content with his bachelor life. But then enters dominating Trisha (Vidya Balan) in his life, he falls in love with her and decides to sacrifice his bachelorhood for the eternal, dull institution of marriage.

Actor performance
Farhan Akhtar with his monumental role in 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' has raised the the bar quite high. Though in 'Shhadi ke side effects', he is nowhere near that level in terms of intensity, but still he has done reasonably well in the movie.

Positive points
The director delicately yet humorously portrays 'Shaadi ke side effects' on the celluloid. The movie depicts the satirical truth about the matrimony with such perfection that every scene in the movie will make you say 'Yes, it happens'.

Negative points
Not many, though in some sequences the movie gets a bit predictable.

Verdict
'Shaadi ke side effects' is a fun and entertaining movie. A must watch for those who love witty comedies.

The director sometimes looks lost as the movie occassionally looks haphazard and dull. The acting of the star cast is also fairly average. The best part of the movie is cinematography as the beautiful forest scenery is projected in the movie with aplomb.

Watch the movie to know how love changes everything.

Ettekaal Second has a story that is not new. Two young people fall in love but one of them is already engaged and later re-thinks about the relationship and circumstances play their role to pose difficulties in the love story. Though the story is old, the characters have pulled together an experience that is visually appealing. Padmasoorya is great in his role but overall the movie doesn't entertainment beyond a point and you can almost predict the end.

The USP of the film is the song which is the World's longest underwater song. It is shot beautifully and you can watch it once. But the movie doesn't live up to the mark of standing out and being an extra-ordinary film.

Vallinam is a movie that is different from the usual Kollywood movies. It focuses on sports and the story talks about the game of Basketball in a way that connects with the audiences. Nakul has done an impressive job as a basketball player and debutant Mrudhula Basker has also made her presence felt in the movie with her strong yet subtle performance. It is a refreshing sports story that is worth watching once.

Sekhar who has won the national award for his debut movie Dollar Dreams, tries to present something different from the original movie Kahaani, for example the lead actress isn't pregnant. And in these changes he has achieved mixed results. Still it would be unfair to compare this remake with Kahaani. Nayantara once again shows her enviable acting prowess in the movie, while the other actors also give a decent performance.

Gautham expertly portrays his character's innocence, angst and determination in the movie. The newbie Alisha also looks promising in the movie. The music of the movie is also very good.

The movie has songs shot in beautiful locations. All in all it is a high energy entertainer that will certainly make you laugh. A good comedy after a long time indeed.

Bollywood actors Salman Khan and Farhan Akhtar have been getting threat calls from the underworld. Reportedly producers Farhan Azmi and Ritesh Sidhwani also have been getting similar calls.

One of the top underworld dons, Ravi Pujari is behind these threat calls. He is apparently hiding in Australia and operating from there. He has been harassing famous Bollywood producers Farhan Azmi and Ritesh Sidhwani for extortion. He had targeted Bollywood celebrities earlier as well. In the past Akshay Kumar, Boney Kapoor, Sohail Khan, Karan Johar and Vivek Oberoi have also faced similar calls from Ravi Pujari. 

The ‘Being Human’ actor Salman Khan has been getting threat calls since the last months of 2013; while the other three have been getting such calls since January 2014. All of them have filed individual reports about the same, considering which the Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) and the Mumbai Police have started investigating the matter in detail.

Such is the date crisis that Kapil Sharma is contemplating reducing his popular comedy show to one episode per week. He says, “By now, I am somehow managing my schedules which have become a habit for me. I am talking to you early in the morning after having worked on my show for 36 hours. Doing two episodes every week means I’ve to provide at least 70 minutes of content every week. It’s not easy to think up funny gags every 10 seconds. We can’t afford to let our audience get bored for even a few moments.”

“I’ve no choice but to do this. The channel Colors doesn’t want me to do the show only once a week. But for the sake of the film, I’ve no choice but to cut down my television show by half.”

The journey starts

Imtiaz's Highway kicks off with the scenes of the pre wedding ceremonies. Veera who belongs to a wealthy Delhi family is getting married and these scenes are shot in a documentary style. Imtiaz captures the wedding atmosphere in his unique style, recording the scenes in snippets.

The first jolt

Veera in order to escape the tedious wedding ceremonies sneaks out on a secret drive with her fiance. On their way back home, Veera gets kidnapped by the gang led by Mahabir Bhatti (Randeep Hooda). The shocked gang finds out Veera's background, but Mahabir doesn't change his plans and decides to take to the highway flanked with beautiful landscapes to dodge the law.

Bumps ahead

The journey down the highway breaks Veera from her tedious life and she starts enjoying the freedom her captivity provides. Veera also starts opening up about her difficult past which honestly is out of the blue but Alia executes it perfectly. We also realize that Mahabir is also struggling with dark secrets of his own childhood.

The mileage and performance

In Highway, Alia Bhatt has proved that she isn't just a pretty face who rocked in her debut movie “Student of Year” because her beauty and sensuality. She shows off her incredible acting credentials in the movie. Though as an actor she still is inexperienced, nevertheless her raw talent manages to shine.

Randeep Hooda as always plays his role with perfection. He efficiently slips into the role of a 'haryanavi' dacoit and displays his disgust towards rich, his conflicting feelings for Veera with aplomb. Hooda with his performance in Highway has added another brilliant outing to his envious CV.

The sweet hum

A R Rehman combines with his Oscar winning team members Resul Pookutty and Amrit Pritam to deliver another soulful music which enhances the cinematic journey of Imtiaz's Highway.

The scenery

Cinematographer Anil Mehta is the unsung hero as he beautifully captures the scenic beauty of lavish hills of Himachal Pradesh, the lush green fields of Punjab and the rustic sands of Rajasthan with distinction. Without him, I feel the movie would have lost its soul.

The compass isn't right

The only front on which Imtiaz's Highway falters is - the screenplay. This time Imtiaz who is known for his narration skills has failed to properly develop his story of the movie. Some of the scenes doesn't have the touch of realism, a realistic feel. And, sometimes the movie does become a tad dull and tedious.

Verdict

Imtiaz's Highway though lacking in some aspects is a cinematic delight especially for those who like me regularly suffer bouts of wanderlust.

Gulabi Gang movie Review

Gulabi Gang is a documentary film, directed by Nishtha Jain. The documentary movie tracks the founder and leader of the group, 56-year-old Sampat Pal Devi. The film is produced by Torstein Grude and music is composed by Peter Scartabello. For the movie's story and review, read further.

Gulabi Gang depicts the real story of group of pink sari vigilantes in Uttar Pradesh who fight for women’s rights and justice, caste oppression and widespread corruption in rural India. They travel long distances and encounter resistance, apathy and corruption, even ridicule. Sometimes whole villages are against them to protect the perpetrators of violence.

The film opens with a case in which a young wife has been found burnt to death and her family blames a fire that broke out when she was cooking. Pal Devi and her companions believe there is foul play involved and pursue the case, then the story begins.

The film allured the audience and scored good reviews because of a complex story, disturbing yet heartening. Perhaps, that's the reason, the film was selected at MIFF, which is India's oldest and biggest documentary film festival. Also, the film has won best documentary awards in Norway and Dubai.

Despite it's complexity, the movie reviews are good as director Nishtha visualizes the hidden meaning of movie's story very well through 'Gulabi Gang'.

Imtiaz Ali has garnered a lot of fans for the unique and generation X love stories he portrays in his movies. In “Jab Me Met”, “Love Aaj Kal” and “Rockstar”, Imtiaz brought unconventional romances to the fore which brought his movies commercial success as well as critic appreciation.

Story Outline
A rich brat Veera (Alia Bhatt) who is going to get married, to escape the tedious wedding ceremonies goes on a secret drive with her fiance. On their way back home, they stop at a petrol pump where they witness a robbery.

Actor Performance
Alia Bhatt who is radically different role from the one she did in “Student of Year” manages to have a decent outing in the movie. In her acting, her inexperience still shows, nevertheless her efforts and talent manages to shine.Randeep Hooda once again is brilliant in his role.

Positive points
The scenery and the landscapes portrayed in the movie are a visual delight.

Negative Points
The only aspect in which Imtiaz falls short is - the screenplay which unfortunately is the glue which holds the other good components together.

Verdict
Though, with Highway Imtiaz falls short of his own high standards, the movie still because of its visual and audio delight is a one-time watch.
