Ettekaal Second is a love story directed by Kanakaraghavan and produced by Santhosh Babusenan. The movie features Govind Padmasoorya and Gimi George in lead roles. Ettekaal Second is the story of a young man Sandeep, character played by Padmasoorya, who is looking for a job. His father works as a driver of a wealthy landlord. The story takes an interesting turn when the landlord's granddaughter, who is a sound engineer in Mumbai, comes to Kerala to record the ambient sounds of the hills and Sandeep befriends her. Gimi plays the character of the landlord's granddaughter is already engaged to Mithun, but when she is transfered to Mithun's hometown and Sandeep gets a job at her office, she starts rethinking about the engagement, as the two of them fall for each other. Ettekaal Second has a story that is not new. Two young people fall in love but one of them is already engaged and later re-thinks about the relationship and circumstances play their role to pose difficulties in the love story. Though the story is old, the characters have pulled together an experience that is visually appealing. Padmasoorya is great in his role but overall the movie doesn't entertainment beyond a point and you can almost predict the end.

The USP of the film is the song which is the World's longest underwater song. It is shot beautifully and you can watch it once. But the movie doesn't live up to the mark of standing out and being an extra-ordinary film.
