Anaamika Telugu movie review
Anaamika is the Telugu movie directed by Sekhar Kammula which is based on Sujoy Ghosh's box office hit and critically acclaimed movie “Kahaani”. The popular South Indian actress Nayantara will reprise Vidya Balan's role in the mystery thriller. Harshavardhan Rane will play the role of Anaamika's husband while Vaibahv Reddy and Pasupathy will essay important roles. The music and background score are composed by MM Keeravani. Now lets begin our movie review.
Anaamika is the story of the women who is searching for her missing husband. Nayantara arrives in Hyderabad from London and finds her husband missing. A police officer (Vaibhav Reddy) helps her in the quest to find her husband. She has no certain facts or information except fragments of her memories about him. However, all these clues lead her to a dead end, while everyone tries to convince Nayantara that her husband does not exist.
Sekhar who has won the national award for his debut movie Dollar Dreams, tries to present something different from the original movie Kahaani, for example the lead actress isn't pregnant. And in these changes he has achieved mixed results. Still it would be unfair to compare this remake with Kahaani. Nayantara once again shows her enviable acting prowess in the movie, while the other actors also give a decent performance.
