Ya Rab Movie review

Ya Rab Movie review

Ya Rab is directed by Hasnain Hyderabadwala and is Ajaz Khan's first movie in which he features in a lead role. Ajaz Khan who recently shot to fame with stint in popular reality show Bigg Boss 7 had earlier featured in movies such as Rakta Charitra and Allah Ke Banday in small roles. The movie which shows the battle between two contradicting Islamic ideologies will be distributed by Mahesh Bhatt's Vishesh Films. Now, lets begin our movie review.

Ya Rab is made against the backdrop of two warring Islamic ideologies one group follows the Islamic principles of compassion and respect for human life, while the other fuels fire of revenge in response to alleged atrocities on Muslims. Ran Vijay Singh (Ajaz Khan) is a honest cop who is trying to foil the evil designs of those who want to spread terror. So how these two ideologies wrangle with each other and whether Ran Vijay manages to stop terrorists attacks is the story of movie.

The story and screenplay by Ikram Akhtar is good and new. But other than that everything in the movie is sub standard. Ajaz Khan does make a good effort but falls short on delivering a good performance. Though, the director and producer of the movie should be lauded for the courage to make a movie on such a sensitive topic.
