The women who practice black magic are known as Tonhi in the central India and this Hindi movie dealing with the serious issue of killing of innocent women and children due to superstitious beliefs. The movie has been shot in real locations of Chhattisgarh where such things are practised in reality, though already banned by the government.

In the movie, J. Brandon Hill played a role of an American doctor who comes to India to find out the reason of children falling sick and dying in a remote village of Chhattisgarh state, later he comes to know that the entire epidemic is being caused by a black magic woman, they call as ‘Tonhi’ (Natasha Sikka).

According to movie reviews, content is realistic and deals with injustice faced by women that made movie popular, but movie doesn't scored very good comments. Though, the concept was new, but might be script is lacking something.

The music is composed by Abuzar Rizvi and script is penned by Shiraz Henry. There is a scene in the film where the black magic woman is naked and there are two nude scenes as well, but the censor board won't consider it as an issue as the actress wore a necklace that covers her almost.
