The photography for the film Autonagar surya started officially on 14 October 2011 at Hyderabad. But after filming continuously till December 2012, the film's shoot had to be stopped owing to the financial turmoil of R. R. Movie Makers. Autonagar surya is a political thriller film directed by Deva Katta. The film stars Naga Chaitanya and Samantha in the lead roles. The film's music is by Anoop Rubens, while cinematography is by Srikanth Naroj. Gautham Raju has edited the movie. The trailer of the film gathered positive response.
Naga Chaitanya who plays the character of Surya and Samantha who has portrayed the character of Shirisha are convincing in their roles. The movie revolves around these characters and focuses on politics. It is neither great nor below average. The editing of the movie is worth praising.
