Green Signal Telugu Movie review

Green Signal is a youth centric romantic movie directed by Maruthi who has earlier helmed movies such as Kotha Janta, Bus Stop, Ee Rojullo and is known for his proficieny in making Adult humour movies.

The star cast of the movie features new comers Revanth, Gopal Sai, Ashutosh, Rakshitha , Maanas/ Manas, Shillpi Sharma, Dimple and Manjula Rathod. The music of the movie is composed by JB who has earlier composed music of Ee Rojullo, Prema Katha Chitram and Bus Stop. Now, let's start our movie review.

The story of the movie revolves around the lives of group of youngsters. The group has five boys and three girls, and the movie focusses on their affection and camaraderie. The movie portrays their budding and failed romantic aspirations along with their daily trials and tribulations. The movie also shows the conflict they face because of their actions, and the effect of the conflict on the entire group.

Maruthi is one of the most promising directors in the Telugu movie industry. And in Green Signal movie he hasn't done much harm to his credentials. Though, the direction isn't top notch, Maruthis still has a decent job by focussing on the crux of the movie that is the nature of relationships of the new generation.

The acting department has done an average job. And, this is the weakest point of Green Signal as the star cast in some sequences fail to implement director's vision on the celluloid. The music of the movie is good. Overall, Green Signal is an average movie.

Punnami Ratri 3D Telugu Movie Review

Punnami Ratri 3D movie is directed by Vinayan and produced by M Subba Reddy under the banner of Colors & Claps Entertainments. The romance-horror movie features Prabhu, Nasser, Mohan Krishna, Krishna Baguvan, Ushasri, Monal Gajjar, Shraddha Das, Priya, Swetha Basu Prasad, Aryan and Sudheer.

Babith George scored the music and cinematography is handled by Sathish G. Lyrics for the songs are penned by Kedarnath, Kishore Sanagela while Ranjith, Kartheek, Mamatha Sharma and Sravana Braghavi lent their voice for the melodious tracks. Let's have a look at the movie review and story.

The story of horror movie is based on Bram Stoker`s famous novel Dracula. Story begins with the arrival of Dracula in a village who performed the series of murders thereafter. But, when the secret of his arrival unveiled before a few Mantriks, they started searching him in order to destroy him. This search and encounter of dracula forms the core of Punnami Ratri 3D.

According to the movie review, Vinayan has made good efforts to narrate and represent the Telugu version of 'Dracula' in 3D, but all goes in vain as the effects look incompetent, inept and are of poor quality. The interesting roles played by the whole cast is average and require much improvement. Music is good and flow well with the movie. A lot of improvements are required in narration.

Script and dialogues unable to scare and create thrill, which is the charm of every horror movie. Instead, Dracula appeared more funny and there is quite often nothing that would attract the viewers. It seems like unintentionally horror movie would appear more comical as dialogues lack originality and performance is also worse. All in all, the movie is average and disappointed the audience due to tasteless visuals.

Mundeyan Ton Bachke Rahin Punjabi Movie review

Mundeyan Ton Bachke Rahin is a romantic comedy movie directed by Navinder Kirpal Singh who has also colloborated with Manoj Sabharwal and co-producer Manoj Gill to write the screenplay of the movie. The movie is co-produced by Pawan Gill, Navinder Kirpal Singh, Manoj Sabharwal.

The movie features Roshan Prince, Jassi Gill and Simran Kaur Mundi in the leading roles. Prabhjot Cheema, Sunny Gill, Bharti Singh, Anshu (Preeto) Sawhney, Minto and Hobby Dhaliwal will be seen in supporting roles. The music of the movie is composed by Gurmeet Singh and Jassi Katyal. Now, let's take a look at the story and the movie review.

The story of the movie revolves on adventures of two womanizing best friends. They use every trick in the book to impress girls. However, they fall in love with one girl who invites them to a marriage in Gurdaspur. And once they reach their, they realize that they will have to face each other to win affections of their ladylove. Hence begins, their bid to outmaneuver and outplay each other in game of love.

Mundeyan Ton Bachke Rahin movie is based on the same concept which has been used again and again in Punjabi movies these days, that is to overload the threadbare plot of the movie with silly comedy, crazy antics, rope in some popular singers, cast accomplished comedians to support them and then hope for the best. And, some times the formula works, and sometimes it doesn't as in the case of Mundeyan Ton Bachke Rahin .

The direction by Navinder is completely rudderless and he has to share the blame for the poor script of the movie. There are some entertaining sequences in the movie, but they are far and few. The lead actors can't be completely blamed for poor acting as they didn't have much to do other than deliver some silly one liners.

Those who have got accustomed to the usual logic defying comedies might find Mundeyan Ton Bachke Rahin a decent watch, however others shouldn't waste their time and money on this one.

The child actors who have almost negligible acting experience have also done a good job in the acting department. The music of the movie is also good. Shameen has also done a great job as the editor of the movie. All in all, Poovarasam Pee pee is a good children movie.

CityLights Movie review

Rajkumar Rao and Hansal Mehta who won National Award for best actor and director respectively for Shahid, are once again set to win accolades and acclaim with their upcoming movie “CityLights”. The movie is a remake of BAFTA nominated British film Metro Manila, presented by Fox Star Studios in association with Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt. Now, let's take a look at the story and other aspects of 'CityLights' in our movie review.

Plot Outline
After suffering a tragedy, a cloth merchant Deepak Singh (Rao) comes to Mumbai from Rajasthan with his wife Rakhi (Patralekhaa) and daughter Mahi to change his life, to fulfil his dreams. But soon he is given a rude shock when a thug cons him on pretext of renting him a room.

Still Deepak guided by his morals and values doesn't give up and fights to earn a decent living. But, the dark world of Mumbai and his destiny has other plans for his family. His wife has to work as a bar dancer to feed their family, and soon Deepak also finds a job in a security agency trafficking boxes with black money and belonging of high end clients. So, do they find a way to lead a decent life or will destiny deliver another blow, is the story of CityLights.

Actor Performance
Rajkumar Rao is once again superb as he portrays the anguish, disappointment and struggle of a poor farmer with distinction. He masters the Rajasthani dialect and seamlessly slips into the character. With every movie, Rao is establishing him as one of the brightest actors.

Patralekha also deserves a special mention for a splendid debut. Her body language and expressions are far superior than some of the actresses who have been around for some years. She perfectly compliments and supports Rao in the movie. Manav Kaul who plays the role of Deepak's senior executive has also performed well.

Positive Points
Great direction. Hansal Mehta has used his immense talent to show the dark side of Mumbai where dreams and hopes are shattered mercilessly, where morals and values of a man have no place and only hunger, desire to survive dictates your action. The music is good and perfectly reflects the mood of the movie.

Negative Points
The pace in the second half drops a bit and tends to get sluggish at times. The story also hits a road block. The director could have also focused a bit more on Deepak's equation with his superior.

Verdict
CityLights is a deep, dark and excellent cinematic venture. Those who like to watch light, entertaining masala flicks might find it too different to their taste. But others who like to explore quality cinema shouldn't miss out on this one.

47 to 84 Punjabi Movie review

47 to 84 is a drama movie which is based on real events. The movie is directed by Rajiv Sharma and produced by Babli Singh in association with Shemaroo Films Pvt Ltd. The screeplay of the movie is written by Lally Gill who conducted in depth research to incorporate the real life stories in the movie.

The star cast of the movie includes Nattasha Rana, Zafar Dhillon, Mahaveer Bhullar, Neelam Sivia, Hardeep Gill and Ashish Duggal. The music of the movie is composed by R. Sheen. Now, let's begin the movie review of the venture which focusses on traumatic events of 1984.

The 47 to 84 movie tells tha tale of a nine year old girl who witnesses the chaos and massacre that erupted after the partition of India. And when she finally finds some peace and calm, her life is turned upside down as Delhi is engulfed in the madness following Indira Gandhi's assasination leading to the brutal Sikh genocide.

The movie shows the injustice and cruetly that thousands of Sikhs suffered during those terrible times. It also portrays the role of politicians and other civil officers in fanning the violence and unleashing a murderous hatred directed towards innocents. The movie also follows the subsequent desperate attempt for justice and redemption.

First of all, director Rajiv Sharma has to be commended for his intelligent handling of such a sensitive topic. The movie portrays the cruetlies that the Sikh community suffered during the two massacres and aptly asks what is the difference between the two and how could be call India our own country after 1984. The director however, is bit lacking in film making skills and in some sequences his lack of technique is visible.

In terms of acting, the cast of the movie has had mix results. In some sequences, the acting is very good and in very next it looks amateurish which is made worse by some poor dialogue writing. The movie could have been made much better.

Very much complicated story with number of actors is very well narrated by Ingale. Cast has done good job and music is average. Though, in the beginning storyline is clear, but in between it appears a bit clumsy and unable to decide where story is heading.

Some unnecessary scenes and characters are included, which is a major flaw in the movie. Many humorous scenes promises a belly laugh and make you roll over the floor. High-budget Aandhali Koshimbir receives a positive note of response and praised by the audience.

Heropanti Movie Review

Heropanti is directed by Sabbir Khan who made his directorial debut with disastrous “Kambakkht Ishq”. The director, despite having a plethora of stars in the movie, with Hollywood biggies such as Sylvester Stallone and Brandon Routh, failed to make any favourable impression. During the promotional tour of “Heropanti”, he had said that he has learned from his mistakes and has become a better director. But, with what was served in “Heropanti”, it seems he has only regressed.

Plot outline
There isn't much in
“Heropanti” movie which could qualify as a plot. The director aimlessly throws couple of stereotypes together to develop a drab and threadbare plot. The movie is set in the orthodox “Jatland” where society is too misogynist. A young lovers have run away and to be bride's father unleashes his goons to track them down. In a bid to find to find them, he rounds up boy's best buddies and one of them is Babloo (Tiger Shroff) And out of nowhere he falls in love with the to-be-bride's younger sister (Kriti Sanon). He now has a herculean task of winning his ladylove without offending his fearsome father. That's what i meant by the threadbare plot.

Actor Performance
Tiger Shroff has unbelievably stunning masculine physique and unusually beautiful feminine face. His acting performance leaves lot to be desired, his dialogue delivery is very poor. However, his action stunts are simply stunning and are highlight of “Heropanti”. It is only those sequences which show him performing gravity defying acrobatics, which entertain audiences.

Kriti Sanon has very limited role, however she manages to do reasonably well in her role of damsel in distress. She has the beauty and grace which could help her in the industry where majority of movies just need leading ladies to act as eye candies. Prakash Raj has once again done a decent job.

Positive points
Action sequences. Some of the stunts which Shroff Jr. manages to do are simply breathtaking. He has great agility and great body to become a good action hero. “Heropanti” could have been much better and bearable if the director had focussed a bit more on his lead actor's strengths.

Negative points
The direction. It is too linear and amateurish. Everything in the movie happens randomly and doesn't have much connection with the logic. For example, to show the budding romance between the lead pair director uses random songs rather than any meaningful surge of emotions or strong passion. The dialogues of “Heropanti” are another annoying aspect. Especially, Shroff Jr's repetitive take on his Heropanti.

Verdict
Heropanti is a dull and predictable movie with some cool stunts thrown together. Tiger Shroff impresses with his action stunts, but disappoints otherwise. However, if he stars in another action movie, I will definitely watch it. Not sure, about this one though.

Manam Telugu Movie Review

Manam, the most awaited movie in the history of Tollywood has showcased the three generation stars acting together in the single movie. Fans of Akkineni family would get the rare opprtunity to watch trio ANR, Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya at a time.

Most probably, the movie is touted as farewell to Nageswara Rao, so it may be the last time you would watch ANR after travelling the long distinguished journey of his acting career. The comedy genre movie that promises a great fun with numerous hilarious scenes is directed by Vikram Kumar and produced by the Akkineni family themself.

The melodious music of the movie is composed by Anoop Rubens and the cinematography is handled by P.S. Vinod. Manam features the late Nageswara Rao, Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya along with Shriya Saran and Samantha in the lead roles while Amitabh Bachchan will be seen in a cameo appearance.

The script of humorous movie is penned by the director himself. After the Raj Kapoor family, Akkineni family has achieved such feat in Bollywood. Lets have a look at the movie review and story of Manam.

The story of Manam revolves around the life of Nageshwar (Nagarjuna) whose parents Radha Mohan (Naga Chaitanya) and Krishna Veni (Samantha) were divorced and then died in an accident, when he was a kid. Nageshwar grows up and becomes a successful rich businessman.

One day he get the biggest shock of his life, when he meet Nagarjuna (Naga Chaitanya) and Priya (Samanta) who very much resemble his parents. Afterwards, he decided and tries his best to develop love between the young couple and get them married.

In this process, he comes across Doctor Anjali (Shreya) and Chaitanya (ANR) and again get shocked. Why Nageshwar shocked and how he resolved the mystery behind these rebirths, is the core of Manam.

Watching the brilliant performance of three generation stars is a visual delight. Unique and nice script entertains the audience to the core and makes them sit right up. The music of the movie is good with no unnecessary melodrama.

Though, the plot is complex, but handled in a very intelligent way by the director. Flawless narration is simple and very well shuffled the time periods and storyline. Appealing story, outstanding performance and good narration left the incredible impression on viewers and keep their interest intact.

All in all, Manam is a good family drama movie and a tribute to legendary actor ANR.

Kochadaiiyaan Movie Review

Kochadaiyaan, a 3D computer animated period film directed by Soundarya R. Ashwin and written by K. S. Ravikumar, due to the revolutionary use of technology in the movie production is one of the most awaited movies. And, presence of superstar Rajnikanth who has a god like presence in the southern box offices only amplifies the hype.

Along with Rajnikanth who will be seen in triple role, the movie also features R. Sarathkumar, Aadhi, Deepika Padukone, Shobana, Rukmini Vijayakumar, Jackie Shroff, and Nassar enacting and voice supporting important animated characters in the movie. The music of the movie is composed by Oscar winner and accomplished music director A.R. Rehman. Now, let's analyse the impact of technology, in our Kochadaiyaan movie review.

Kochadaiyaan is a period movie partly inspired from the life of pandiyan king Kochadaiiyaan Ranadhiran (710-735 A.D). The movie revolves around the battle of Good versus evil and shows one man's courage to stand for the injustice. The movie shows Kochadaiiyaan Ranadhiran's brilliance in battle and his benevolence in ruling his subjects. It documents his vicious struggle against those who plan to usurp his crown.

On numerous occasions director Soundarya has claimed that Kochadaiiyaan has been made using latest animation and 3D technologies. And, when you compare it with other movies that have been produced on the Indian shores, the claim indeed prove to be right. But in comparison with Hollywood movies, Kochadaiiyaan is lacking in 'wow' factor special effects.

Rajnikanth is the star of the movie and his performance once against defies his age. His stunts, characteristic dialogue delivery style and stylish acting, carries the movie forward with impeccable grace. The plot of the movie is well developed and the characters are well rounded and dynamic.

In the nutshell, though Kochadaiiyaan movie isn't the best animated special effects movie around the block, but it still has enough elements to entertain and woo the audience, and the best part is another brilliant performance from the living legend.

Kochadaiiyaan Telugu Movie Review

Kochadaiiyaan Telugu, a drama of good versus evil, Tamil flick is India's first motion capture 3D computer-animated period film directed by Soundarya R. Ashwin and written by K. S. Ravikumar. The film features Rajinikanth enacting and voicing two lead roles, while R. Sarathkumar, Aadhi, Deepika Padukone, Shobana, Rukmini Vijayakumar, Jackie Shroff, and Nassar appeared as supporting characters.

The cinematography in the Tamil movie is handled by Rajiv Menon and background music and soundtrack is composed by talented singer A. R. Rahman. Simultaneously, the same movie is released in other languages, including Hindi, Telugu, Japanese, Bhojpuri, Bengali, Marathi, Punjabi, and English. Let's read the movie review and story.

The story of Kochadaiiyaan, based on Pandiyan king Kochadaiiyaan Ranadhiran, where king Rajini rules a country that grows strongly under his rule. The people in his kingdom prospers, as he shares his wealth with them. However, some ministers revolt against him by playing dirty tactics and dethrone him away.

Son of Rajinikanth born after the ministers hold the power of kingdom. The duo role of Rajini get the training of martial art forms and administration skills by his father. Later, the prince excels far more and forms a small group in the forest in hiding and revolt against the traitors to win back the country. This form the crux of the Kochadaiiyaan story.

According to the movie review, Rajnikanth has shouldered the film totally by enacting two different roles in the movie. Rajnikanth film that brought new technology in entertainer is the major pull of the movie. The movie has created a huge buzz at the box office.

The big budget movie that finds the new style and punch lines of superstar Rajnikanth has a lot of positive elements. The audio of the film is received well by the audience. Instead, Kochadaiiyaan movie , also faces a bit disappointment because Thalaivar won't appeared in his real self.

Kochadaiiyaan review, touted to be rock the floor, but computer generated imagery quality is poor and not up to the mark, as per the movie reviews. Also, the script is not much appealing and find lack of uniqueness. Despite all, movie unravel on 6000 screens and sets off the fire.

All in all movie is good, but could have done more better, if compared to Hollywood.
