Manam Telugu Movie review

Manam will for the first time show the three generation of the influential Akkineni family in one movie. And, unfortunately it will be family patriarch Nageswara Rao's last movie who has had a long distinguished acting career spanning 75 years.

Manam is a family comedy drama movie directed by Vikram Kumar who has also written the script of the movie and the venture is produced by the Akkineni family themself. The music of the movie is composed by Anoop Rubens, while the cinematography is handled by P.S. Vinod.

The film features the late Nageswara Rao, Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya along with Shriya Saran and Samantha in the lead roles while Amitabh Bachchan will be seen in a cameo appearance in the movie. The movie will clash with Rajnikanth's Kochadaaiyan and in our movie review, let's analyse whether it could give competition to the megastar's animated venture.

Manam Telugu is a family period drama which covers the story spanning from 1920 to 2020. The movie revolves around the concept of eternal love and reincarnation. Chaitanya plays the role of a college student who has a very carefree attitude, while Nagarjuna and Nageswara Rao plays the role of his father and grandfather respectively. The movie shuttles between the different time phases as it explores the concept of love.

The script of the movie is woven together using the tender threads of love and family, and the result is a sweet and simple movie which brings a smile to the face of audiences. The characters are also well developed and have adequate layers. The director has done a tremendous job as he shuffles the time periods and storylines seamlessly while keeping the interest in the movie intact.

The three stalwarts of the Akkineni have given a great performance. Late Nageshwar Rao has once again shown why he is such a revered personality in the Telugu movie industry. Nagarjuna is also good in his act of middle aged man, while Chaitanya has further cemented his place in the industry.

The music of the movie is also decent and perfectly complements the flow and mood of the movie. In a nutshell, Manam review is a one of a kind, good family drama movie.
