The Xpose Movie review

The Xpose is a music thriller directed by Anant Mahadevan who has won the special jury award at the National Film awards 2010 . The script of the movie is written by Himesh Reshammiya, while the venture is produced by Vipin Reshammiya under the banner of HR Musik.

Himesh Reshammiya who would be looking to bounce back from couple of flop movies he had delivered till now. Popular rapper Honey Singh will make his acting debut with the movie. Sonali Raut and Zoya Afroz are the leading ladies in the movie, while Irrfan Khan has been roped in for a special appearance. Now, let's take a look at the story and movie review of 'The Xpose'.

Chandni and Zara are two rival actresses who have films releasing on same day - Reena Mera Naam starring Chandni (Zoya Afroz)and Ujjwal Nirmal Sheetal featuring Zara (Sonali Raut). They hate each other and get involved in a cat fight at an after-awards party. And shortly later Zara is murdered and the main suspect is Chandni.

She isn't the only suspect as the mystery deepens the other individuals are also added in to probable murderer list. Ex-cop-turned-actor Ravi Kumar (Himesh) decides to start investigation on his own in a bid to find the real murderer.

The script of the movie is as woeful as it's creator Himesh's acting in the movie. The script is very weak and doesn't has enough depth that is mandatory for the suspense thrillers. The movie doesn't has any tension or thrill that could keep the audiences occupied.

The acting by Himesh as revealed earlier is sub standard. Honey Singh isn't any better in his endeavours as his overzealous efforts completely mess up the Pran's persona that he is trying to project in the movie. The two ladies in the movie apart from showing some skin have failed to do anything that would qualify as acting. The music of the movie is the only positive point.

In the nutshell, 'The Xpose' Movie is the creepy, sleazy and woeful representation of the vibrant 60's era.

Sandhira movie review rating – 1.5/5
