Chocolate boy of B-town Sidharth Kapoor who firstly appeared in grey shade has done full justice with his role with wonderful expressions and outstanding performance. Sid exhibited each emotion, anger, love, confusion, puzzled and confusion at ease. Flawless acting of sensational beauty Shraddha fits into her character very nicely and done a good job as earlier. Her chemistry with Sidharth has stolen the show and highlight of the movie. Reitesh Deshmukh who firstly make his debut in the dark shade has played the role with perfection and dialogue delivery is also good. Even, in some scenes, he appears to have sideline the lead pair.

Positive points
Mohit Suri should receive a special mention for good narration that does not leave even a single fault to pinpoint. The first look of Sunny Leone's upcoming item song “Pink Lips” for the adult thriller movie “Hate Story 2” has been revealed by the movie producers.

The producers would be looking to capture the magic of Sunny's recent hit item song “Baby Doll”. Incidentally, they have hired music composers Meet Brothers who had created “Baby Doll” with Kanika Kapoor, to compose the song.

Performance
The performance during a two hours and forty nine minutes flick of triple role has completely amused the audience. Saif Ali Khan has stepped into a comic character nicely and he justifies his role with great expression. Reitesh Deshmukh is also dominant in many departments and Ram Kapoor too fits into the role. Bipasha Basu, Tamannah Bhatia and Esha Gupta also have done a good job and appeared in their glamarous avatar.

Positive points
Sajid Khan should receive a special mention for his splendid narration, direction and writing the wonderful script. Whole cast seamlessly slips into their roles and performed very well. Music is good and background score accompanies perfectly the chain of events. The love and romance of lead pair is cute and bromance of male protagonist guarantees a belly laugh. Sajid succeeded in targeting its end product entertainment to the masses and received good response.

Negative points
The movie has numerous dodges and some incidents appear to have a non-correlation, but abundant light jokes take over them. Also, the movie loses its way in the mid, but that is also cloudy and movie again come back to the track.

The story of Koothara is about three college students, Koober (Bharath), Tharun (Tovino) and Ram (Sunny Wayne) who are studying in the same college. Trio have rebellious nature and are in the against of the policies and rules set by the college management. One day, three of them accidentally meet Usthad Saali (Mohanlal) who is a fisherman, and then onwards a series of changes in their lifestyle and way of thinking come. How Mohanlal changes their lives is the crux of the movie.

Mohanlal's flawless performance has complemented the script of the film. Also, leading trio have done good job in playing the pivotal role of college students and same is with supporting cast that seamlessly slips into their respective roles. The story is very well written and nicely incorporated on the screen. Srinath must receive a special mention for impressive narration.

The music of the movie is also good and sync well with different instances. Though, in extended cameo role, but Malayalis would find the new impressive look of Mohanlal that they had never seen before. The story has love, romance, action, drama, thrill and suspense that made the flick to receive a great number of applause and would not have allowed the audience to leave the edges of their seats even once.

The theme of friendship is often used in the youth centric drama movies which are used as a platform to launch new stars, but they seldom get it right. However, Fugly Movie gets it perfectly right. Fugly though is different from Fukrey in terms of theme and content, but it can go on to emulate its successful box office run. Now, in our movie review let's take a look at the different aspects of the movie which makes it a good package.

Plot Outline
Fugly revolves around the exploits of four friends - Dev (Mohit Marwah) an adventure camps organiser, Gaurav (Vijinder Singh) boxer and politician's son , Aditya (Arfi Lamba) runs father's toilet seat business and Devi (Kiara Advani) a beautiful and daredevil girl. They want to enjoy the live to it's fullest and believe life is one long party.
However, they soon run into trouble and the name of their trouble is Chautala (Jimmy Shergill). Gaurav tries to use his political background to shut him up, but Chautala is too willy for them. He asks for hefty ransom, without which he warns they would run into a serious trouble.

Actor Performance
The star of the movie is Jimmy Shergill who absolutely dominates the movie with his villainous avatar. He plays the role of a fearless and cunning Haryanvi cop with superb efficiency. He is simply getting better and better with his every passing movie.
The new comers have also done a great job, especially Mohit and Kiara who are brilliant in their respective roles. Vijender also holds his own in a completely new field, but still there is vast need of improvement if he is thinking of staying in Bollywood. The other actors have also done a decent job.

Positive Points
Director Kabir Sadanand has made a movie with fast tempo which suits perfectly for the thrillers. He also makes smart use of his resources including using Vijender's real life persona to project the reel life role, which works positively in movie's favour. The dialogues of The Fugly Movie are another positive aspect of the movie.

Negative Points
Sana Saeed's item number is completely needless and disrupts movie's rhythm. And some other sequences in the movie are also redundant.

Verdict
Inspite of it's some very obvious flaws, Fugly Movie is a good movie which will surprise you with the depth it has.

Vidharth has done a commendable job as the lead actor. He seamlessly slips into the role of Amir and portrays his anxiety and cauldron of emotions with distinction. Though, Harthika has a very limited role, she still manages to impress in it. The music of the Aal Tamil movie is also decent.

Music and lyrics are mesmerising and flows well with the movie. All these aspects together made the movie won awards in Jayjaykar Marathi film competition section at Kolhapur International film festival 2013.
