The story of Jayjaykar Marathi Movie is about an old man who is a retired Major (Dilip Prabhawalkar) and finds himself in a strange situation. Once major scared the transgenders, then whenever they met major get scared and scream.

Afterwards, something unusual and controversial situation came before major in regard to transgender and how he reacted is the crux of the story.

Dilip Prabhawalkar looks impressive in the role of an old and retired major. He has done splendid job alongwith moustaches, big spectacles and able to carry the body language of retired army officials

The film gives a social message with a big dose of comedy that manages to tickle the funny bone. Also, Rode showcased the looks and the style of the transgenders in a courteous manner.

Firstly, in the Marathi cinema, human side of transgenders and the problems they face in the society are shown on silver screen. The hard work of Rode pays off in the form of great positive response from the audience, despite having strange subjects.

However, the theme is unique, but in the starting plotline is unclear and unable to decide where the movie is heading that amused the audience. Later, in the second half, the appealing climax gained a huge round of applause.

Music and lyrics are mesmerising and flows well with the movie. All these aspects together made the movie won awards in Jayjaykar Marathi film competition section at Kolhapur International film festival 2013.
