Oggarane Kannada Movie Review

Oggarane Kannada Movie Review

Oggarane, a Kannada romantic comedy movie is the remake of Malayalam film 'Salt N' Pepper'. The movie is the directorial and production venture of Prakash Raj. Kannada flick stars Prakash Raj and Sneha in the lead roles, while S. P. Balasubrahmanyam, Urvashi, Samyuktha Hornad and Sihi Kahi Chandru played other pivotal roles.

The soundtrack is scored by Ilaiyaraja and the script is written by Shyam Pushkaran and Dileesh Nair. The editing is done by Kishore Te, while cinematography is handled by Preetha. Let's have a look at the story of love weaved in the kitchen and movie review.

Oggarane movie is a middle-class love story of two couples that celebrates love and life with food as a backdrop. The older couple is an archaeologist Prakash Raj and Sneha, and younger couple of Tejus Kancherela-Samyuktha Hornad.

The older couple because of their bond with food keep on arguing on the phone over cooking recipes. How the duo manages to find the love in between their obsession about food is the core of the story.

The script was good and not a frame-to-frame copy of the original version. Prakash Raj did descent job in depicting the character onscreen, but Urvashi and Thambi Ramaiah doesn't get much screen presence. It seems as if they are in the story just to add some glam content.

The music flows well with the movie and whole cast performed good and showcased the emotions very nicely in the melodrama. In the beginning, storyline is not clear, but later it comes on the track. Good dollop of romance sprinkled over the love for cooking is impressive.

Sandhira.com movie review rating 3/5
