The story of Typical Kailas is the love story of Srujan Lokesh and Vrunda Pavana of today's generation and showcased the woman strength. Both of them are from different background, but later they fall in love and get married to each other. After the marriage, what happens is the crux of the movie.

According to the movie review, Srujan Lokesh has proved the mantel of the title character of Kannada play Typical Kailasam in a film very well and immortalize it onstage. Pavana also played the role of modern cum traditional Indian wife nicely.
