Mumbai police on the allegations of rape, while his brother is
arrested for intimidating and threatening the victim.
A leading daily reports that the victim is Ankit's girlfriend who works for an event management company. The victim has also alleged that the singer has decided not to marry her, despite earlier promising her to.
The report further reveals that the victim is 28 year old and has no ties with the film industry. The victim who was staying with her sister, had met Ankit through a common friend. And, slowly they started seeing more of each other and become close friends. The two brothers used to visit her place regularly.
According to police report, the incident occurred late last night. Ankit had come to meet the victim at her sister's place, finding her alone, he allegedly raped her. The further details of the incident are awaited.
