The
15th International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) will be held in
Tampa Bay, Florida from April 24-26. The big Bollywood event will
also feature famous Hollywood celebrities along with most of the
celebrities from the Bollywood fraternity.
“We are expecting some names from Hollywood to be at the event. We are in serious talks,” said Andre Timmins, Director of Wizcraft International Entertainment.
“There are a couple of people who are already on board. We are waiting for the contracts because when you are working with people in Hollywood, you can’t say anything till you have a contract in hand. So we are waiting for that” he added.
“These are big names and what we are planning to do with them is to get them integrated with our cinema(Bollywood). The idea is to integrate Hollywood stars into the event so as to not make them feel alienated from what our cinema is all about” Timmins said.
The star who gained popularity for his song 'Chammak Challo' in India, Akon, might perform at the event. More Hollywood celebrities would join the singer at the event but final word from the organizers is awaited.

As
far as Bollywood
celebrities are concerned, Priyanka Chopra and Anil Kapoor were
chosen as "Friends of IIFA" and did a three-city US tour
(New York, Los Angeles and Tampa Bay) to promote the celebrations at
IIFA. Owing to their international presence and connection in the
recent past, the two stars were selected to promote the event.
