Basanti Telugu movie review

Chaitanya Dantuluri, who made his directorial debut with the critically acclaimed Banam, is back with a romantic thriller Basanti. Chaitanya is also turning a producer with the film with his banner 'Start Camera Productions'. The lead actor in the movie is Brahmanandam's son Gautham with debutante actress Alisha Begum in the role of his love interest. Mani Sharma who successfully colloborated with Chaitanya in his debut movie is the music director. Now lets begin our movie review.

Gautham is a student at Basanti Arts College, while Alisha is his love interest. Gautam is a ordinary boy next door whose only aim is to win over his love interest. But then one incident throws his life into turmoil and he struggles to get his life back on track. So, what happens between the two and how their lives are affected by terrorism is the plot of the movie.

Director Chaitanya after Banam has once again created a nice movie. The characters and story is nicely developed. The star cast has also done a decent job in the movie. Gautham expertly portrays his character's innocence, angst and determination in the movie. The newbie Alisha also looks promising in the movie. The music of the movie is also very good.
