IIFA
has always been the international link for Bollywood and the Indian
film fraternity. The 15th International Indian Film Academy Awards
(IIFA) will be held in Tampa Bay, Florida from April 24-26, 2014.
The
singing sensation who gained popularity with his song 'Chammak Chalo'
in India, Akon, is expected to perform at IIFA
2014. Many other big names from Hollywood are being contacted for
the event, but final conformation of the names is yet to be disclosed
by the organizers.
“There
are a couple of people who are already on board. We are waiting for
the contracts because when you are working with people in Hollywood,
you can’t say anything till you have a contract in hand. So we are
waiting for that,” said Andre Timmins, Director of Wizcraft
International Entertainment.
IIFA
has introduced "IIFA Stomp" for the first time this year.
It is a free-to-all public party with the essence of India. It will
feature Indian food, music and dance, handicrafts and Indian-ness at
its best at the Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park on April23, 2014. The
picturesque venue overlooks the Hillsborough river.

Bay is gearing up for the event as Santiago Corrada, President and
Chief Executive Officer of Tampa Bay, met Bollywood actors Salman
Khan, Anil Kapoor, Sohail Khan and singer Sonu Nigam.
