The actress who in 2009 reached semi finals of Miss World, had suffered a freak accident at her Lokhandwala residence. The accident happened on Monday afternoon. While Pooja was sipping her tea next to the window, the glass from the window pane toppled onto ground and one of its piece struck her leg.
Pooja who was bleeding profusely, was saved from her distress by her alert maid who took her to the hospital. In the hospital, she had to undergo a three and half hour surgery.
Pooja who is advised complete rest, couldn't be reached on phone. In a text message, she assured “I'm recovering.”
