Ramanujan, a biographical movie is based on life of exemplary and genius Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan. The movie is written and directed by three times National Award winner Gnana Rajasekaran . The venture is produced by the independent Indian production house Camphor Cinema.

Debutante Abhinay Vaddi is cast in the lead role, while Abbas, Suhasini Maniratnam, Kevin McGowan, Bhama and Michael Lieber will be seen in supporting roles. The music of the movie is composed by Ramesh Vinayakam . Now, let us take a look at the movie review of Ramanujan.

The movie is set in early 1900s and revolves around the life of mathematical giant Srinivas Ramanujan. The movie charts his journey from young Tamil Brahmin to his time in the prestigious Cambridge University. The movie sheds light on his relationship with his mother Komalatammal, his wife Janaki, and his collaborator Professor G. H. Hardy. The movie also focusses on the Indian society's perception of the great man.

Rajasekaran along with making an interesting movie, has done full justice to the life of legend. The narration of the movie is very good and so is the script. The lead actor Abhinay has done a stupendous job as he seamlessly slips into the character of the mathematical giant. The support cast has also done a good job. The background music perfectly complements the movie. All in all, Ramanujan is a good movie, made with exemplary care and effort.

Sandhira movie review rating –3/5
