Yaaran Da Katchup Punjabi Movie Review

Yaaran Da Katchup Punjabi Movie Review

Yaaran Da Katchup is a youth centric romantic comedy directed by Abhey Baiju Chabbra. The movie is produced by Vikram Bansal under the Vivicam Entertainment Pvt. Ltd banner. The popular pop singer Alisha Chinai has sung “Nede Nede”, her first Punjabi song for the movie.

Newcomer Anil Juneja, 'Fukrey' fame Varun Sharma and popular singer Hardy Sandhu are cast in the lead roles, while Jaswinder Bhalla, B.N. Sharma, Rana Ranbir, Vijay Tandon, Ranjan Sehgal, Anita Hassanandani, Yuvika Chaudhary, Manreet Kaur, Kruti Popat and Shagun Jaswal will be seen in supporting roles. Now, let's analyse this latest Punjabi masala venture in our movie review.

The movie revolves around the friendship of three guys who value their friendship more than everything. They want to keep their friendship alive in amidst of everything failures, success and love. The movie shows their struggle to maintain their friendship in face of obstacles, in face of new problems. The movie also tries to show the importance of friendship in our lives, the impact it has on us.

Yaaran Da Katchup is an average movie which sparkles in some moments, and falls flat in others. The good moments are mostly conjured by the comic talent of Jaswinder Bhalla, B.N. Sharma and Rana Ranbir. Their comic timing and expressions, once again, are spot on. However, the lead actors barring Varun Sharma fail to impress and convince about their acting credentials. The role of female actresses is very limited. All in all, Yaaran Da Katchup a timepass movie which manages to entertain in patches due to work of experienced and accomplished comedians.

Sandhira movie review rating –2.5/5
