Aayirathil Oruvan Tamil Movie Review



Aayirathil Oruvan that means, “One man in a Thousand” is an action-adventure film, directed by B.R. Panthulu. The movie starring at M. G. Ramachandran and Jayalalitha in the lead roles was released in 1965 and now it is re-released. This film made M.G.R. and Jayalalitha pair the best one, whose story and review is mentioned here as under.

The story of Aayirathil Oruvan is based on the story of sea-pirates and independence achieved against a cruel tyrant. Manimaran (MGR) is a doctor who was sold as slaves to other island ruler because he helped and served one of the rebels of his island.

On the other island, he met Poongodi (Jayalalitha), who falls in love with MGR and tries to woo him. After some sequels, twists come in the story and MGR manage to escape from the island and later married to Poongodi.

According to the movie reviews, the movie's story is quite lengthy and a bit messy, due to which it unable to gain much positive response from the public. Complete digitally enhanced movie has six songs that are composed by Viswanathan Ramamoorthy.

Well, the acting of lead role is very much renowned and music made the movie an unforgettable one. MGR's flawless performance, Nambiar's odious crimes, Jaylalitha's lovable attitude and Nagesh's tummy tickling fun are worth watching. The film distributed by Divya Films scored average reviews.
