Onnum Mindathe is a family drama movie directed by Sugeeth. The film is produced by Shafeer Sait under the banner of Qurban Films. The movie features Jayaram, Meera Jasmine and Manoj K Jayan in lead roles.Rajesh Raghavan who had earlier worked with director Sugeeth in “3 Dots” has written the script of the movie. Sachi(Jayaram) is an agricultural officer who loves his simple life which he shares with his wife Shyama(Meera Jasmine) and a daughter.
His life is perfect and the whole village holds his life as an example of perfect existence. However, his peaceful life undergoes a turmoil when Sachi's childhood friend Jose(Jayan) returns to Kerala after living abroad for 8-9 years. He wants to relive his old days with his close friend, but one unfortunate incident turns the course of their movie. So, how they tackle with this obstacle and what impact it has on their lives is story of the movie Onnum Mindathe.
First of all kudos to director Sugeeth for capturing the scenic beauty of rural Kerala with such perfection. On the technical front, Sugeeth has done a decent job as well. The script and the characters are very nicely developed and have depth in them. The three leading actors have delivered a good performance as they masterfully portray the emotions and conflicts of their characters. The music of the movie is also good. In the nutshell, Onnum Mindathe is a good drama movie which despite getting sluggish in sequences, powerfully conveys it's message.
