Anurag Kashyap upset with RajKumar Hirani and Aamir Khan

It is a well known fact that Anurag Kashyap has high hopes from his upcoming movie “Bombay Velvet” and has been leaving no stone unturned in making his ambitious project bigger and better, he has even created a replica set of 50's Mumbai in Sri Lanka.

The movie is posed for a grand release on this year's christmas eve. However, Rajkumar Hirani has announced that he will release his Aamir Khan starer on the same day which has left Anurag seething with anger.

"All it would have taken is a phone call," says Anurag."I heard the rumours and called Raju to tell him that if they were indeed planning a Christmas release to please let me know in advance. At that point, they said there were no such plans," Anurag adds.

Anurag however, got no such call and three days later Aamir Khan declared via his Twitter handle that PK which was set to release on June 6, had been pushed to December 25.

"It hurts because I respect Raju as a filmmaker and as a person. Apart from being a colleague, he is also a friend," Anurag says.

Anurag also concedes that the prospect of two big movies releasing on same time, will affect both projects. He says, "Right now, I am focused on making a spectacular film. I'm not concerned about the marketing blitzkrieg at this point. It's obvious that both films will be affected if they release on the same day. We may sort that out at a later stage."
