Dishkiyaoon,
an action-comedy genre movie is directed by Sanamjit Singh Talwar and
produced by Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra along with Eros
International. The intense film features Sunny Deol, Harman Baweja
and debutant Ayesha Khanna. Let's begin the story and review of the
film, which is about the Mumbai underworld.
The
story of Dishkiyaoon revolves around two eminent personalities of the
Bollywood, Sunny Deol (Lakwa) and Harman Baweja (Viki Kartoos) who
dreamed of becoming the most powerful and biggest ruler of the
underworld. Viki who belongs to the upper middle class society had no
parents. The absence of this love and care was filled by THE
GANGSTER‐LAND and he indulged in 'bhai-giri'.
Then, onwards his break free ambitions set his eyes on the top‐spot in gangster‐land. He decided to de‐throne the existing king and there he uses his mind, instead of guns. Then, the real mysterious game begins, where every throw unfolds a suspense and meanwhile, he falls in love with Ayesha. Viki's friendship with Lakwa proves to be dangerous for him later. At last, as the big dreams need to pay big cost, every action have consequences and a gun shot is never did the partiality with anyone, same happens with Viki in 'Dishkiyaoon'.
According to the movie reviews, this large budget movie with mind blowing star cast and performances scored average reviews. The dialogues are powerful in the script, which is penned by Sanamjit Talwar. The publicity and buzz in the media is very much created about the flick due to the presence of popular and famous personalities.
The action packed film has four songs that are composed by debutant Palash Muchhal, who is the youngest music composer of Bollywood at age of 18. Also, the phenomenal actions and acting of the hunk Sunny Deol is once more impressive and liked by the audience. The mysterious, engrossing and entertaining Dishkiyaoon Movie appears to be a bit monotonous during many scenes, that's why it is unable to hit the screen with big bang as it was expected, as per the reviews.
Unique gangster movie with brilliant idea shed new light on the Mumbai underworld through the eyes of contemporary real characters. Also, good looking Harman Baweja and Ayesha Khanna proved their acting debut and able to create a good fan base through the flick. The unwrapped plot fails to rock the blockbuster and it seems like that Dishkiyaoon has lot of bullets in the guns, but none of them is able to hit the targets.
