Marumugam Tamil Movie Review
Marumugam, a romantic thriller movie produced by Sanjay and directed by Kamal Suburamaniam who has made his debut as filmmaker. Movie feature Daniel Balaji who started his career as villain slowly transformed as hero and Preeti Das, a Mumbai based model are in main lead role and other cast includes Anoop, Banuchander, Uma Padmanabhan, Swaminathan and Krish Raj. The thriller story of Marumugam revolves around the life of Daniel Balaji. It is based on triangular love story, where Daniel Balaji one-sided love with Runya and Runya loves Anoop Kumarand, then sequel of u-turns and story moves on. The revenge drama has surprise element, romance and some situational comedies also.
Scored reviews state that the first half of the Marumugam is well with no dull moments, and it goes too predictable towards the end that becomes montonous, but it has enough twists and turns to keep the audience hooked. Thrill in the film is enough to impress one and all that made the movie to score good comments. Famous Telugu Music Director Agasthiya composed the music and lyrics are penned by Aknath.
Daniel Balaji is the life and blood of the movie that played a complex character with utmost ease and seriousness. Preeti Dass is naughty and has given her best as female lead actress. Swaminathan evokes laughter in the drama. The concentration on the story is less, otherwise the end product would have been more good, in accordance to the reviews.
