Telugu film Dheerudu, the dubbed version of the Tamil original Pattathu Yaanai film is directed by Boopathy Pandian and produced by Vikram Krishna. The romantic movie stars Vishal, Santhanam and Aishwarya Arjun who is Arjun Sarja's daughter, played the lead roles. The story and movie review of the masala action film is given here as under.
The story of Dheerudu has many comic elements and it revolves around the life of lead male character Vishal who falls in love of Aishwarya, then some twists come in the story and it goes on. It seems like that nothing new is introduced in the movie.
According to the review, the story of film is like old wine in a new bottle, but comic element present in it, which is provided by Santhanam adds a little interest. Otherwise, the movie is not at all tolerable, though first half could be, but second half moves at very slow pace. The movie scored very bad response.
The music is composed by Thaman. The acting of female lead is so poor that even dubbed songs doesn't help much. The unnecessary action scenes, no romance and unwanted fights looks like introduction of forced elements to make it look like a mass masala entertainer. Perhaps that's the reason, it gains poor reviews.
The cinematography is by Vaidy S. Only comedy is action scenes that are worth to watch and a big relief, else nothing. Even actress make-up is so ugly and she need to work on her acting abilities as well.
