According to the muslim traditions, 'meher' is the money husband gifts to his wife post marriage. Galadari had alleged that she wasn't given any such money. Thus, the family court has ordered Sami to pay Rs. 10 lakh as 'meher' to Galadari.
Galadari who had divorced Adnan on June 19, 2011, had filed a complaint in the court against her ex-husband for of harassment, violence and blackmail. In verdict on the plea, judge has asked Adnan to pay Rs. 1 crore as compensation to his ex-wife.
The court has also ordered Adnan to surrender his duplex flats in Andheri within next two weeks. Adnan had gifted those flats to Galadari, however, he has refused to give possession of flats to Galadari post divorce and was living there with his present wife.
In a further blow to Adnan who was recently struggling with visa problems, he has also been asked to return Rs. 5.3 crore which he had borrowed from Galadari.
