Prathighatana Telugu movie review

Prathighatana is a social drama movie directed by Tammareddy Bharadwaja who will also be producing this project. The music of the movie is composed by M.M. Keeravani and Yashwanth Nag.

Charmee Kaur who completes her half century with this movie, is cast in the leading role along with Reshma. Uttej, Atul Kulkarni, Raghu Babu, Krishna Bhagwan and veteran comedian Brahmanandam are cast in the supporting roles. Now, let's take a look at the story and the movie review.

Prathighatana is based on the true events and focusses on the injustice suffered by the women in our society. It takes a look at the atrocities committed towards them in lieu of culture and traditionalism. Reshma is cast in an important role which will portray the condition of women in our developing world which is still yoked to the primitive male dominated practices.

Charmee is cast in a role of a journalist who crusades to change the society and perception of women. Charmee will be seen taking on the authorities in the movie in a role which is bit similar to one played by Rani Mukherjee in “No one killed Jessica”. So, how they manage to change the society is the story of the movie.

Charmee is undoubtedly, the star of the movie as she fights for justice for a helpless woman who has been ravaged by the politician and his goons. She portrays the anger and courage with perfection in her landmark outing. Reshma is also good in role of a innocent girl who is dealt an unfair blow in the life.

Director Bharadwaja should also be lauded for his good direction and decision to make a movie on such a sensitive point. All in all, Prathighatana is a very good movie.

Sandhira movie review rating– 3.5/5
