Polytechnic is a romantic comedy movie directed by M Padmakumar. The movie is produced by Kala Nair under the banner of Mrinalini Gandhi cinemas. The music of the movie is composed by Gopi Sunder. The movie has Kunchacko Boban and Bhavana is the leading roles. Aju Varghese, Suraj Venjaramood , Tensi Khan and Devi Chandana are cast in supporting roles. For, story and the movie review continue reading.

Pauly(Kunchako Boban) who belongs to a prosperous family in a rural village of Kerala, is a communist politician. He tries to help poor people in the village and is always looking to improve their lives.

However, his father who is an army officer dies in a terrorist attack and he has to put his political career on hold to look after his family. He starts a biscuit factory in the village with the compensation money from government and with his three friends help.

Sukumaran Nair who is member of the opposition party is Pauly's fierce enemy and always tries to disrupt Pauly's work. The situation worsens when Pauly falls in love with Nair's daughter Aswathy (Bhavana).

Director strikes the right balance between romance and comedy in the movie. The movie has even flow and moves along uniformly. Boban has once again delivered a accomplished comic performance. The other supporting actors have done a decent performance. The music of the movie is a bit let down. Otherwise, Polytechnic Movie is a decent entertainment package.
